Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), in collaboration with DICE Foundation USA, is set to host the 8th All Pakistan DUHS-DICE Health Innovation Exhibition on Tuesday, 25th February 2025, at its Ojha Campus in Karachi. This much-anticipated event serves as a premier platform to showcase cutting-edge health innovations while encouraging collaboration among academia, entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
Event Objectives
The exhibition aims to:
- Present innovative concepts and inventions in the health sector.
- Encourage collaboration among academia, entrepreneurs, expatriates, and government stakeholders.
- Promote Pakistan’s talent and innovation on the global stage, fostering a positive and progressive image of the country.
Highlights of the Exhibition
This year’s exhibition promises to feature:
- Over 200 research projects from 40+ universities across Pakistan.
- Opportunities to highlight innovative solutions with potential to transform the healthcare industry.
- Engagement with experts and policymakers in healthcare innovation.
Evaluation Process and Criteria
Projects will undergo a two-phase evaluation:
- Pre-Exhibition Screening: A committee will shortlist projects for exhibition participation.
- Special Competition Assessment: During the event, projects will be further evaluated for special competitions.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Degree of Innovation and Impact on Local Industry and Economy: 20%
- Readiness for Commercialization (Prototype and Business Plan): 20%
- Presentation Quality: 50%
- Prizes and Shields: 10%
Recognition and Rewards
Participants will have the opportunity to compete for:
- Top 3 Prizes for Project Competition.
- Special Competition Awards.
- Certificates of Appreciation for all participating teams.
